At Emir & Co. Paralegal Services, we are committed to providing compassionate, reliable, and high-quality administrative support. We understand that legal matters are stressful, and we aim to be fair and transparent with all clients.
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be offered.
1. General Refund Principles
Because our work involves time, labour, and customised document preparation, most services become non-refundable once work has begun.
However, we always act fairly and will consider individual circumstances.
2. When Refunds May Be Given
We may offer a full or partial refund if:
✔ We have not yet started working on your documents
If you cancel before any work has commenced, we can issue a full refund.
✔ A genuine error was made on our end
If we make a mistake that prevents the service from being completed, we will fix it or provide a refund where appropriate.
✔ You booked an appointment and cancelled within the allowed timeframe
If you cancel with reasonable notice, we can refund or reschedule at no charge.
✔ Exceptional hardship circumstances
We understand life can be unpredictable. If you are experiencing significant hardship, we may consider a goodwill refund at our discretion.
3. When Refunds Are Not Given
Refunds are generally not provided in the following situations:
❌ When a service has already been completed
Document preparation, editing, guidance sessions, or portal assistance cannot be refunded once delivered.
❌ When work has started
If we have already begun drafting, formatting, or working on your matter, a refund may not be available. Time and labour have been invested.
❌ Change of mind
We cannot refund for change-of-mind cancellations after work has begun.
❌ If delays are caused by the client
This includes delays in providing documents, instructions, or responding to emails.
❌ If the Court or other parties take actions outside our control
We cannot refund based on:
court decisions,
magistrate schedules,
adjournments,
outcomes,
or how the other party responds.
We do not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee results.
4. Rescheduling & Appointment Cancellations
We are flexible and understand emergencies happen.
✔ You may request to reschedule at any time
Where possible, we will move your appointment free of charge.
✔ No-shows or repeated cancellations
These may not be eligible for a refund.
5. Payment Plans & Hardship Options
If you are on a payment plan:
Payments already made are generally non-refundable if work has begun
Future payments may be adjusted on request
We may pause or modify your plan in cases of financial hardship
We want you to feel supported, not stressed.

We aim to respond within 3 business days.
